Yo yo.
I'm watching this coverage of... what's it called? Rededicate 250. There's been a report on our national news about this event in Washington.
And the whole point of the event was to reestablish America - or the United States - as one nation under God. Right?
And I can't really tell if this is just some freak subculture
or if there's a broad base for this kind of fanatic theatrical devotion.
There's Pete Hegseth up on the stage, and Mike Johnson.
Disturbing footage, no?
And I wonder.
Where did that interpretation originate? Or, how does that keep reasserting itself?
Devoting yourself to God.
It's so - pardon my choice of words - so ass-backwards
to think that you - as a supposedly separate person - would dedicate yourself to some - what is it then - an idol?
And that you can just come together and praise your idol.
It's the other way around, right?
God has been devoting itself to you the whole time
and realizing God - or devoting yourself to God -
comes down to realizing how God works itself through whatever you is,
which may not even be a separate person.
So, ease your grip on whatever it is you think you are
and let God work through you without all of the theatrics.
Please. Thank you.
